Bcc Noise Reduction Download Chrome
Applying Boris Noise Reduction (through AvidFX 6.2) results in a color shift towards blue. Original: BBC Noise Red.: I've tried to alter Temporal, Spatial, Cb + Cr Clamp. And almost any other setting but of no avail. I'm on MC 6.5.2.1, OS X 10.8.3.
I know 10.8.3 is not officially supported yet, however everything works just fine and above all I don't think this particular issue has to do with the OS (also Apple didn't change anything in Color Sync when going from 10.8.2 to 10.8.3). Any ideas how to fix the issue? Thanks for your reply, Pat. Yes, the effect is applied to all 3 color chanels. In the meantime I've tested a simple luminance key. And BCC (or AvidFX) turns the whites yellow. I've also checked if it may have to do with studio swing vs.
Full swing levels or so. So something is really going wrong here.
You won't see the color shift in AvidFX' preview. Nor in the timeline/record monitor until the effect is rendered. First when you render the effect the color shift appears. This is why I assume it's an issue with Avid FX rather than with the actual BCC effects. I wonder why Boris Continuum Filters don't show up in the Media Compser Effects Panel anymore. In MC 6.5 (with AFX 6.2) they are only available through Avid FX. Since I don't like the Avid FX interface very much the situation is pretty frustrating.
I would love to see the BCC effects in the regular effects pane (just as in MC 5.5). Sure I could apply another color correction to fix the color shift. But this actually not how a simple noise reduction should work. And of course it adds render time. I am also using the 'Tiffen' effects of Digital Film Tools. These work as supposed to but you can't apply a key within the noise reduction filter.
So if you want to apply NR for instance only to dark tones you have create a new video track with a luminance layer. Which of course works perfectly well but again adds render time. Hi Kevin, there is no BCC installer anymore (at least not in the downloadable upgrade package of MC 6.5.2 in the Avid Store). There's only the AFX installer.

I've just reinstalled it and the AFX box was checked. The effcets pane looks like this - the AFX effect is showing up but on the left side the BCC effects are missing (or maybe not missing. But I had them all as single effects in MC 5.5): I've seen the 'Read Me' of the Avid FX 6.3 update and there they say: 16 bit rendering Color shift in Avid when you render in 16 bit depth (Source. So maybe upgrading to AFX 6.3 will fix the issue.
I'll report back. Bloc Party Four Rar Zip Freeware here. Just used Avid FX and the noise reduction filter - default settings, saved and splitted the clip rendering half of it and I´m not seeing what you describes.
So, workflow, codecs and render settings is of interest. So, workflow, codecs and render settings is of interest.
