The first one allowed me to use the scanner's native interface, while the second option bring up the microsoft scanner dialog box. Definitely, not the way to go when scanning lots of documents. In Windows 8 the only option is to use the WIA driver labeled WIA-fi-6130dj.

A) Download the Scanner drivers from the manufacturer’s website. B) Right-click on the driver and click on ‘properties’. C) Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 7 operating system from the drop down.
