Erisreignssupreme 4419234 Oct 24, 2016 seems like such a waste of paper and sellotape, how about making a pattern such that you give the instructions for how to make the pattern, then anyone could make it easily on newspaper without a printer and with out even printer paper, but just using a ruler and a measuring tape. This is how patterns are made anyway to start with before they are copied onto pattenr paper. You make then out on card by copying instructions and you could easily make them to fit your exact measurements this way too. Jacquie Sep 17, 2017 If that's the way you want to draft your patterns there are several good books and other websites about the subject. But except for the few designs which are only basically made from rectangles such as a gathered skirt, it is not possible to just 'give instructions' for drawing the crutch curve on trousers, or a neckline or a sleeve head. I agree that perhaps those curves could be the only bit you need to print off and the length of any straight lines could be shown, but don't forget websites of this sort need to cater for people with less skill and experience than you apparently have. You could always do a print preview and decide which pages you need to print and which you could guesstimate using common sense, such as the leg on a pair of trousers.

Erisreignssupreme 4419234 Oct 24, 2016 look at the end of your arms there are hands, copy your hands onto paper an d decide where you want them covered, like you could make half mittens, or where you want them up your arm, then add a hem and sew it would barely take a few moments and if they dont fit you can try again with an additional 1/4 or 1/8 inch around so they do. Meanwhile give the paire that dont to a smaller person, and when you find the pattern that works for your hands you will always have perfeclty fitted mittens. You could do the same for gloves, just spread our your hands and add ahem sew around and if needs be pinch spaces on the writs to gather. Thats how old fashioned gloves seem to fit so well.
