Humax Pr Hd1000 Software Update
My initial findings after unwrapping it yesterday. 1) DISEQ 1.2 does not work - but had already known that due to several others having mentioned it elsewhere. No problem to manually move dish using remote from V-BOXII positioner until a software update arrives.
Dear user it is logically not possible because your service provider will not allow you to do so. Even if you would install any software l. You could use a Nokia PC suite for your Nokia C5-05 phone so that you will be able to use your phone as a modem with your laptop. Ads by Google.
2) Having already set up all my dish positions it was easy to gather all sats together - there were a couple I had to input into the sat list (Hellas sat etc) but easily done. First thing is to set the Humax menu into English language mode!
3) Again forewarned that all the Premiere stations (and a good few other German stations) automatically take up number 100 -199 in the listings on Astra 19.2. Therefore most other staions will start at 200 onwards.
4) There are 5 favourites listings - so you can group channels together as you need (I have a set for German stations, French and HD channels on the go). Windows Xp Pro Sp3 Ultra Lite Ita Download Movies. A press of the yellow button the handset brings up the names of all the satellites you have found. 5) Connected using SCART (RGB), Prog and HDMI. HDMI was fine, but somewhere in tinkering I have lost audio on HDMI to the TV - sound OK on the SCART to TV and optical out to amp.
Again there have been HDMI issues with this box which may be addressed by the next update. 6) Nice touch is that a big Dolby symbol appears on screen when such a channel is shown.
7) SD (German) channels on Astra look spectacular - most are outputting in 576p. Channels from Sky look rubbish in comparison. 8) HD channels look as good as old Quali-tv box (which was MPEG2 only) - I can't see any difference between MPEG2 and MPEG4 HD transmissions. With HDMI I get the odd quick orange horizontal streak on picture on Pro7HD and Sat1HD - not seen when viewing with progressive - so points to another glitch with HDMI software.
9) Dragon CAM works with all my French channels on Hotbird, and ORF on Astra 19.2. ALso works with original Sky card on Astra 28.2 to view Sky SD channels. 10) Dragon CAM does not work with Euro-1080 viewing card as an IRDETO device on Astra 23.5 for HD-1 channel.
11) Best news is that German forums report a Humax OTA upgrade in about 14 days - so DISEQ may work (and USALS) and perhaps fix HDMI issues. 12) Also just heard that prepaid Premiere HD subs will be here soon! WC footie for def in hi-def! 13) Some knowledge of German is a small advantage - the remote has some German labelling and of course the manual is German only. I can speak (and read) German so not too much of an effort.
14) As others have said - it does run warm but I have it on a open shelf anyway. 15) As well as integrated Nagravision (for Premiere) it has 2 CI slots - which noted above are fine with Dragon. 16) Sky Italia HD channel caused box to luck up - this has been reported by others too. A big green screen of death. 17) Although I can see signal on Sky HD channels - they can't be found by the machine (as yet).
Even adding manual FECs and such doesn't grab them. 18) Humax website to register has an XML error - so can't register! Well that is about it - very happy with quick delivery from (3 days) and happy with the box. Picture and audio are excellent - shame I will be in Hong Kong for next week and unable to fiddle more with it! Thanks Bayards What is currently available in HD in the clear besides demo loops?
Are some of the high def programs going to scramble shortly. I have a Barco 808 CRT projector which does not have a HDMI input so I would need one of the soon to be illigal boxes to covert digital into RGBHV. These are around £150 max so I was wondering if it is worth having to buy one as well buying the Humax for the content I would get. I have a 1. Kishore Kumar Songs Free Download Kishore Kumar Collection Mp3 more. 2 metre motorised gregorian dish so can get plenty of sats. Do you know if the HDCP is on all the time thanks.
