Unless you do not need your internal memory card reader I would not upgrade to Windows 7. Dell Oem Vista Torrent. If you check Dell's list of fully compatible Windows 7 laptops (short list) the 1510 is not on there but the 1520 is. From what I can tell there is no difference between the two memory card readers (model) yet it works in one and not the other. I tried the drivers from the 1520 and they install but it still doesn't detect anything when I put the memory card in the reader.

I am contact o2 as I reply to see if they know of any reason why it wouldn't work. Until they I have a USB card adapter I am using. Other than that issue everything is working fine.

I have found a working driver just at random. Please note that I am running Windows 7 Professional on BIOS A13 for the Vostro 1510. For the driver to work I simply downloaded the R197155 package from dell's site. Don't know what I never came across this one before or why it didn't take. I did install the o2micro 1.0.2.23 XP driver package before this one.

It didn't work since it wasn't for x64 so I removed it then installed the Dell. I am not sure if that helped but my reader is working after more than a year of nothing.
